This application is designed to help users effectively monitor their saturated fat intake, contributing to the maintenance of a healthy anti-inflammatory gut microbiome. Such a microbiome is crucial for protecting against various inflammatory and neuroinflammatory conditions, including atherosclerosis, type 2 diabetes, obesity, certain cancers, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and various psychiatric disorders.

Users can set personalized daily saturated fat goals based on the app's guidelines and their own food preferences. The app allows the selection of measurement units (grams or ounces) and offers different display options for saturated fat content in foods and beverages (e.g., % target per serving, g per 100g, or % target per 100g).

Food and beverage consumption can be recorded through various methods, including a barcode scanner, voice dictation, search functions, or by favoriting items and adjusting serving sizes as needed. Users have the option to add personal notes via the notepad feature.

The application facilitates monitoring both daily and long-term dietary progress while allowing data export for sharing with healthcare professionals. It can synchronize with other nutrient counter applications from First Line Medical Communications Ltd and integrate with Apple's HealthKit.

With an extensive database of 400 items, users can customize the app by adding their own foods and recipes while adjusting serving sizes to suit individual dietary needs.

The app provides detailed nutritional information regarding numerous healthy foods and promotes a diet conducive to a healthy gut microbiome using a color-coded system:
<ol>
 <li>High-saturated fat foods (those containing more than 3g of saturated fat per serving) are indicated in maroon type. A maroon warning triangle denotes excessive saturation, while a green leaf icon indicates plant-based options suitable for the recommended variety of 30 different plant types per week. A red warning triangle signifies ultra-processed options, and a gold microbe icon identifies probiotic-rich foods.</li>
 <li>Plant-based foods containing less than 3g of saturated fat per serving are marked in green type with a green leaf icon. Those particularly beneficial for gut health are displayed in darker green.</li>
 <li>Fermented foods that promote gut microbiome health (probiotics) and contain less than 3g of saturated fat are displayed in gold type, accompanied by a gold microbe icon.</li>
 <li>Ultra-processed foods (UPFs), which include ingredients typically not found in home cooking (e.g., preservatives), are indicated in red type when they contain less than 3g of saturated fat per serving. These foods are often calorie-dense and linked to health issues such as obesity and chronic inflammation, contributing to several noncommunicable diseases (NCDs).</li>
 <li>Standard foods that contain less than 3g of saturated fat per serving but do not fall into any of the aforementioned categories are presented in black type. These options are generally considered healthy when consumed in moderation within a balanced diet.</li>
